These engineering and science tech-centric
jokes, song parodies, anecdotes and assorted humor have been collected from friends
and websites across the Internet. I check back occasionally for new fodder, but
it seems all the old content is reappearing all over (like this is). The humor is
light-hearted and clean and sometimes slightly assaultive to the easily-offended,
so you are forewarned. It is all workplace-safe.
Humor #1,
#2, #3
While driving through the southwestern part of Virginia, on Interstate 77, I witnessed Toyota's engineering team*
in the process of a test to measure the miles-per-gallon values that will be placed on the
Prius window sticker. Evidently, Toyota tows the Prius for a great enough distance on the test course that the
mileage figure hits the target value. Car companies must be getting desperate since the U.S. Department of Energy
issued the
new fuel economy ratings
that will take effect in model year 2008. I still haven't figured out why it is being towed by a Saturn
Outlook - maybe so as not to draw attention to the ruse. They didn't fool me.
