Directional Coupler for 2 to 8 GHz
September 9, 2025 - Werbel Microwave began as a consulting firm, specializing
in RF components design, with the ability to rapidly spin low volume prototypes,
and has quickly grown into a major designer and manufacturer with volume production
capacities. Werbel is proud to announce its model
WMC-2-8-20dB-S,
a 20 dB directional coupler that covers 2 to 8 GHz with broadband
flat coupling response, high directivity, and excellent return loss performance.
Typical coupling ripple flatness is ±0.5 dB typical. Insertion loss 0.28 dB
typical. Directivity 22 dB typical. Return loss 24 dB typical minimizes
reflections. The frequency range is used extensively in Wi-Fi testing and covers
both S band and C band in one package. Assembled and tested in USA. Enclosure measures
2.00 x 0.69 x 0.38 inches and has SMA female connectors. The device is RoHS compliant,
but lead solder is available on special order for military applications. Werbel
Microwave products are designed, assembled, and tested in USA. We are an ISO 9001:2015

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail"
when a new message arrived...
