Hoax Hotline

Tired of e-mail hoaxes, like the Nigerian president's widow looking for a safe haven for her inheritance? Here are a few steps you can take to fight back. First, if you suspect a hoax, go to www.google.com and type in the subject line of the E-mail and then the word "hoax." Google will provide you with info. Second, visit the FTC's e-commerce abuse website for more information about all kinds of scams. Third, fill out a complaint form here. Studies have shown that the surest way to become a recipient of these hoaxes is to be on someone's group mail list. Write to your friends and relatives and kindly ask to be remove from all of their group mailing lists.
