RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...

Models for the Passive Plus R35-1209BB and R35-2010BB flip-chip resistor products

Tampa, Florida (March 16, 2021) – Modelithics is pleased to announce the release of new models for the Passive Plus R35-1209BB and R35-2010BB flip-chip resistor products. New Microwave Global Models™ for both resistor series are now available within the Modelithics COMPLETE Library™ as well as the Modelithics mmWave & 5G Library. In addition, new 3D geometry models for the resistors are now available within the latest version, v20.8, of the Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library for Ansys® HFSS™.

The two new Microwave Global Models for the R35-1209BB and R35-2010BB resistor families, respectively, for values of 50 and 100 Ω. Both models are validated to 60 GHz, making them well suited for today's higher-frequency requirements. The models provide validated data for a range of substrates and scale with respect to solder-pad dimensions.

In addition, new 50- and 100−Ω 3D resistor models are available for both the R35-1209BB and R35-2010BB resistor series, making for a total of four new 3D models. These models, available within the Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library for Ansys HFSS, are also validated to 60 GHz, making them well suited for broadband applications.

The Modelithics COMPLETE Library and the mmWave & 5G Library are available* for Keysight Technologies' PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS), Keysight Technologies' PathWave RF Synthesis (Genesys), Cadence® AWR Design Environment®, Cadence Spectre® Simulation Platform, Ansys® HFSS™, and Sonnet® Suites™. For a free trial, please visit: www.modelithics.com. In addition, to request a free trial of the Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library for Ansys HFSS, please visit www.modelithics.com/mvp/HFSS.

Through the Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) program, FREE 90-day trials of Modelithics models for Passive Plus components are available. For more information or to request a free trial of the new models for the Passive Plus resistors as well as other available Modelithics Passive Plus models, please visit www.modelithics.com/MVP/PPI.

About Modelithics, Inc.

Modelithics, Inc. (www.Modelithics.com) was formed in 2001 to address the industry-wide need for high-accuracy RF and microwave active and passive simulation models for use in Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and full-wave electromagnetic (EM) simulators. Modelithics' premium product is the Modelithics® COMPLETE Library, which includes the CLR Library™, containing measurement-based Microwave Global Models™ for a multitude of commercially-available passive component families, as well as the NLD Library™ (non-linear diode models), the NLT Library™ (non-linear transistor models), and the SLC Library™ (system level component models). Modelithics' services also address a wide range of custom RF and microwave measurement, EM simulation and modeling needs. Modelithics® is a registered trademark of Modelithics, Inc. Microwave Global Models™, CLR Library™, NLD Library™, NLT Library™, and the SLC Library™ are also trademarks of Modelithics, Inc. The Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) Program allows for collaboration and open communication during the development of advanced data sets and models for commercially available microwave components and devices, with flexible sponsorship and distribution arrangements for the resulting data and models. An example of such an arrangement is the Modelithics Qorvo GaN Library, a fully sponsored library distributed for free by Modelithics under sponsorship of Qorvo®. Modelithics has also recently launched a new Standard & Custom Test Fixture and Accessory Product Line, including legacy parts from J Micro Technology for a family of thin film Alumina substrate components.
