Indianapolis, Indiana, July 2, 2020 -
Mountain Technologies has released the new Compact
M5045 VNAs with a frequency range from 9 kHz to 4.5 GHz. Featuring
a dynamic range of 130 dB typ. and measurement speed of 70 µs, these new
Compact VNA offerings will effectively replace the functionality of the recently
discontinued S5048, while delivering improved performance.
The S5045 will come with the advanced software features engineers expect from
CMT's S Series Compact VNAs. The M5045 will join the M Series line of Compact VNAs
and include standard VNA software features in an economical package that excludes
a number of advanced software features.
ACM2509 is an
automatic calibration module that can be used with all CMT Vector Network Analyzers
operating in frequency range up to 9 GHz. It is a fully automatic USB-controlled
and powered electronic calibration module. Minimizing the number of steps required
by technicians reduces the risk of human error and expedites the calibration process.
Automating the calibration routine also reduces wear and tear on the analyzer and
RF cables. To perform full two-port calibration, each end of the ACM need only be
connected to the analyzer once, as opposed to seven connections with a traditional
calibration. The ACM also contains a factory characterized 20 dB in-line attenuator
which acts as a simulated device under test (DUT). The confidence check feature
loads the factory stored DUT into memory so proper calibration can be verified.

Copper Mountain Technologies provides a broad range of USB vector network analyzers,
calibration kits, and accessories for 50 Ohm and 75 Ohm impedance. The VNAs use
software for a Windows or Linux operating system on an external computer, PC, or
tablet. CMT VNAs are used for RF and Microwave applications from 9 kHz to 110 GHz
by engineers in industries like defense, automotive, materials measurement, medical,
broadcasting, and telecommunications. CMT customers range from government and defense
agencies and contractors, like NASA, United States Armed Forces, Canadian DoD and
law enforcement, to universities, mid-size manufacturers, like Reactel and PCTEL,
and small companies with just a few employees.
