2-Day online course and eBook from the most renowned expert on mmWave Communications

May 30, 2017 (Norwood, Mass.) – Microwave Journal is now providing Professor Ted Rappaport's 2-day online course, slides and eBook. Previously recorded by IEEE Com Soc, the course covers the fundamental communications, circuits, antennas and propagation issues surrounding emerging 60 GHz wireless LAN and mmWave cellular / backhaul applications.

Microwave Journal Offers 5G mmWave Communications Course and eBook from Prof Rappaport of NYU Wireless - RF CafeThe course was developed and delivered by Professor Theodore (Ted) Rappaport, a pioneering researcher and educator in mmWave wireless communications, wireless systems and radio propagation and founder of NYU WIRELESS. It closely follows his textbook, "Millimeter Wave Wireless Communications," by T. Rappaport, R.W. Heath, R. Daniels and J. Murdock which is bundled with this course as an eBook download. In addition, class notes are provided as a PDF download with more than 300 pages of information. The course can be played at your own pace and stopped/repeated at any point since it is in video format with one file for each day (approximately 6 hours each).

In November of 2015, the ITU released a list of proposed globally viable frequencies between 24 and 86 GHz at the World Radiocommunications Conference (WRC-15) and last July, the FCC voted unanimously to adopt new rules to free up early 11 GHz of high frequency spectrum for flexible, mobile and fixed use wireless broadband paving the way for worldwide 5G mmWave communications. With mmWave communications being considered for many 5G applications, it is critical to understand the properties and characteristics of mmWave communications.

The course, notes and eBook bundle is $499 for individuals and $399 for orders of 10 or more people. Visit www.microwavejournal.com/5Gcourse for more information and ordering.
