A multiband SMD antenna for 4G & 5G applications across the world. The antenna covers the most common 4G & 5G bands: B71 (617-698MHz), LTE 700, GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, WCDMA2100, LTE B7 (2500-2690MHz), LTE B40 (2300 – 2400MHz) and 5G B78 (3300-3800MHz).

Hatfield, UK, October 4, 2021 - Antenova introduces its Allani high performing antenna for compact 4G/5G designs with high speed data or video Antenova Ltd, the UK-based manufacturer of antennas and RF antenna modules for M2M and the IoT, is announcing "Allani," part no SR4L069 - a compact SMD antenna for the 4G and 5G cellular bands. This new antenna measures just 45.0 mm x 10.0 mm x 3.3 mm. It achieves good efficiency with a short ground plane, making it a good choice for designs with relatively little space on the PCB for the antenna.

The Allani antenna only requires clearances of 3.25 mm beneath the antenna and 15 mm from each side to perform well in the sub 1 GHz bands - making it a useful choice for small designs using the 617-698 MHz band. It is able to operate efficiently while using only a small volume of space.

Says Antenova's product marketing manager, Michael Castle: "Our new Allani antenna delivers what every designer needs - a small antenna for the 5G networks, with good performance and good efficiency. This antenna is for smaller designs that will run on the 5G networks now and in future. It supports the 3G and 4G/LTE cellular bands, as well as 5G, making it a future-proof choice for designs that will migrate to 5G during their lifetime. The improved performance of this antenna will also help our customers gain certifications from the PTCRB and the cellular carriers." Antenova created the Allani antenna to operate with in 5G bands worldwide, and in particular Band 71 in the US, which provides good coverage for 5G at 617-698 MHz. As well as this, the antenna supports the fast cellular networks LTE, GSM, CDMA, DCS, PCS, WCDMA, UMTS, HSPDA, GPRS, EDGE, IMT and 5G.

The emerging 5G networks offer superior data rates and low latency, which is ideal for video streaming. The Allani antenna targets CCTV cameras over 4G and 5G, cellular Wi-Fi hotspots, remote monitoring, drone communications, Pico base stations, POS terminals M2M and Internet of Things IoT applications.

Antenova provides a reference design to help designers place the antenna on the host PCB and integrate the antenna into their circuitry. Antenova's specialist RF team offers further RF support for their designs and testing in the company's Anechoic chambers.

Allani is the latest in antenna Antenova's portfolio antennas which includes SMD and flexible antennas for cellular, ISM/LP-WAN, GNSS and Wi-Fi networks.
