RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...

Video: PCB Assembly and Test - One-Stop EMS

Shenzhen, China - December 31st, 2020 - PCBONLINE, a one-stop custom PCB/PCBA manufacturer for prototypes, small-batch, and massive production, has posted a blog that answers the question, "What's going on in testing the printed circuit board assembly?"

Unlike most PCB assemblers, the advanced PCB manufacturer PCBONLINE can process functional tests before delivery so that our clients don't have to test on their own. PCBA testing at PCBONLINE includes the Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) test during the assembly process, functional test, and thermal aging test after the assembly. During the AOI and functional test, if the PCBA is good, the computer screen will display OK. Otherwise, it will display NG (no good), and all test process data can be recorded. The aging test consists of powering on the PCBA to let it work for some time depending on the product application. If the indicator light is on, the PCBA test is good. If it is off, there is a problem with the PCBA and we will flag it as defective and investigate as needed.

Why Should You Choose PCB Assembly from PCBONLINE?

  • We test functionality (FCT) of PCBA to ensure product quality.
  • Our assembly quality is also ensured by first article inspection and 3D-scanning AOI.
  • Our reflow soldering ovens can process both lead-free and lead-containing soldering.
  • We can mount electronic components on a single side and double sides of advanced circuit boards.
  • We check your BOM carefully before assembly and offer free DFM/DFX.
  • We manufacture and assemble PCBs from prototypes to mass production.
