RFS5900A-LF Features Ultra Low Phase Noise
 Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant
fixed frequency phase locked loop model
RFS5900A-LF in the C-band. The RFS5900A-LF is a fully integrated synthesizer operating at 5900 MHz
which is phase locked to a 10 MHz reference with a stability of ±2.5 ppm. This low cost PLL features a typical
phase noise of -80 dBc/Hz, -85 dBc/Hz, and -103 dBc/Hz at the 1 kHz, 10 kHz and 100 kHz offsets,
respectively.
The
RFS5900A-LF is designed to deliver an output power of 3۬±2 dBm while operating off a VCO voltage supply of 5Vdc
and drawing 35 mA and a phase locked loop voltage of 3 Vdc while drawing 15 mA. This unmatched product features
a 2nd harmonic suppression of -25 dBc and spurious suppression of -65 dBc. It is housed in Z-COMM's standard PLL-V12N
package measuring 0.6 in. x 0.6 in. x 0.13 in. The RFS5900A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount
assembly and is available in tape and reel packaging.
The RFS5900A-LF allows for simple design implementation making it a great choice for quick product rollouts, and is well
suited for satellite communications and radar applications requiring operation over the temperature range of -30 to 70 °C.
