Greetings: What is your opinion on the global
warming issue? As with any controversial topic,
“experts” tend to be pretty evenly divided on both
sides. According to a Times magazine story
in June 24, 1974 (with others to follow), we were
on the verge of another great ice age. Now, a mere
33 years later, they say to roll up your pant legs
because the melting ice caps will be raising oceans
levels at a coastline near you.

I think there's a mistake in your Time magazine
'Then' ref. The article is about political tensions,
not a global cooling trend.

out the incorrect URL. I'll fix it tomorrow. Cranial
rectumitis on my part.
It is now tomorrow, and the correct URL is now
in the original post. The headline titles were the
same, but had different story lines. Sorry for the
