Kerry the most highly decorated war hero in history - RF Cafe Forums

The original RF Cafe Forums were shut down in late 2012 due to maintenance issues - primarily having to spend time purging garbage posts from the board. At some point I might start the RF Cafe Forums again if the phpBB software gets better at filtering spam.

Below are the old forum threads, including responses to the original posts.

Since John Kerry won 3 Purple Hearts, a Silver Star and a Bronze Star with just 3 months in combat, doesn't that make him the most highly decorated war hero in American history?

Who else won so many medals in so short a time? George Washington? Audie Murphy? Dwight Eisenhower? Omar Bradley? Norman Schwartzkopf?

All that without ever spending a single day in the hospital! Wow!

:smt038 John Kerry for President!!!

Thanks to Kerry's own confession before the U.S. Congress, a case has been made and is being filed against him for acts of war crimes, specifically, for consipring and consorting with an enemy of the United States during a time of war, while on active duty as a Navy officer.

Are the "Bush Haters," really willing to put a confessed torturer and war criminal in America's White House?

Recall that Kerry said, “Yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed, in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones, I conducted harassment and interdiction fire… I took part in search and destroy missions in the burning of villages.” My god, people, how has he gotten away with it?

Here is the basis for the case brief:

Youve got to be kidding if you think John Kerry is the most decorated war hero in history. That is an outright offense to many soldiers who fought harder and have longer histories in the military. Audie Murphy for example, has at least three times as many medals as you listed for Kerry.
You ought to do some research before throwing labels around like that!!!

Forgetting comparisons, John Kerry is a veteran. Unlike other prominent Americans, he came under enemy fire while wearing the uniform of the United States Army and serving the United States Army. That makes him a war hero in my book.

How can you even begin to say that? Col Bud Day has around 70 awards, over 50 from combat and participated in 3 wars. He was a POW and received the medal of honor. There is no way that Kerry is the most decorated.

"There is no way that Kerry is the most decorated. "

Perhaps not in absolute numbers, but in awards-per-day served he might be.

John Kerry won more praise from the Vietcong.

His medals were earned steadfastly from Wingnut Moonbat Hate America First Central. He is a hero to every flag burning liberal out there. Let us give thanks to John Kerry.

I'm going to puke.
