Z-Communications, Inc.Z-Comm L-Band Coaxial Resonator VCO CRO1600C-LF

Z-Comm Announces L-Band Coaxial Resonator VCO CRO1600C-LF

Features Excellent Phase Noise & 2nd Harmonics Suppression

SAN DIEGO, September 18, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant Coaxial Resonator VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model CRO1600C-LF in L-band. The CRO1600C-LF operates at 1600 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO features an excellent  typical phase noise of -119 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 5 MHz/V.

The CRO1600C-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of -3.25 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 16 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features excellent 2nd harmonic suppression of -25 dBc (typ) and comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard MINI package measuring 0.50 in. x 0.50 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CRO1600C-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

CRO1600C-LF is well suited for clock source and fixed wireless applications that require ultra low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found online at

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
