AWG Math
According to the American Wire Gauge (AWG) system, solid wire sizes are based
on a logarithmic scale, whereby doubling the cross-sectional area corresponds to
a wire size decrease of 3 (like with dB). So, using two #30 wires in parallel is
the equivalent to a single #27 wire, and four #30 wires in parallel is equivalent
to a single #24 wire.
