Tampa, Florida (April 25, 2023) - Modelithics, the leading provider of highly accurate RF/microwave simulation models, and MathWorks, the leading developer of mathematical computing software, announced the launch of the new Modelithics SELECT+ Library for free use to MATLAB® and Simulink® customers. This product is a direct result of Modelithics joining the MathWorks Connections Program, a group of third-party organizations that develop and distribute commercially-available products that are complementary to the MathWorks product line. The Modelithics SELECT+ Library is a collection of Modelithics Microwave Global Models™ for passive devices, including capacitors, inductors, and resistors.

Microwave Global models are highly scalable models that are developed using specialized measurements covering a range of test conditions. All Modelithics models contain a detailed model datasheet that lists recommended model validity parameters, measurement and test fixture details, and model-to-measurement data comparisons. A single Modelithics Microwave Global Model covers the full range of part values for a vendor component series and takes into account the PCB substrate and pad layout-dependent parasitic behavior of microwave devices.

The Modelithics SELECT+ Library for MATLAB is an add-on to introduce MATLAB and Simulink users to the capabilities of these highly accurate simulation models that accelerate design success. These Global models are Part Value, Pad, and Substrate Scalable to give designers extremely flexible design tools while using MATLAB and Simulink. MATLAB users can easily choose components and filter by type, value, vendor, and other properties. You can build circuits, perform what-if analysis, and optimize the overall performance.

These models for discrete die, surface mount and packaged devices are valuable for engineers involved in PCB-based RF & Microwave circuit or module design.

The Modelithics SELECT+ Library for MATLAB is available to download for free from Modelithics website at https://www.modelithics.com/mvp/matlab.

About Modelithics, Inc.

Modelithics, Inc. (www.Modelithics.com) was formed in 2001 to address the industry-wide need for high-accuracy RF and microwave active and passive simulation models for use in Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Modelithics' premium product is the Modelithics® COMPLETE Library, which includes the CLR Library™, containing measurement-based Microwave Global Models™ for a multitude of commercially-available passive component families, as well non-linear diode models, non-linear transistor models, and system level component models. Modelithics' services also address a wide range of custom RF and microwave measurement and modeling needs. Modelithics product offerings also include the Modelithics mmWave & 5G Library, Modelithics System Components Library™ the Modelithics COMPLETE+3D Library. Modelithics® is a registered trademark of Modelithics, Inc. Microwave Global Models™, System Components Library™ and CLR Library™ are also trademarks of Modelithics, Inc. The Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) Program allows for collaboration and open communication during the development of advanced data sets and models for commercially available microwave components and devices, with flexible sponsorship and distribution arrangements for the resulting data and models. An example of such an arrangement is the Modelithics Qorvo GaN Library, a fully sponsored library distributed for free by Modelithics under sponsorship of Qorvo®. Modelithics also offers a Standard & Custom Test Fixture and Accessory Product Line, including legacy parts from J Micro Technology for a family of thin film Alumina substrate components.
