January 10, 2012 – Reliance Engineering , a specialized custom molder of Thermoplastic and thermoset materials, has completes the acquisition of a new fully programmable Micro-Vu Vertex Measuring System.  The new system allows for fast and accurate measurements, servo motor control and a 12;1 zoom lens.  “This represents a vast improvement of our Metrology capabilities”, said Company President Bovaird.  “After a record year in sales and profits in 2011, we will continue to invest in our ability to produce high precision molded parts for the Medical and Aerospace markets,” Bovaird said.
 
Micro-Vu Vertex Measuring SystemReliance Engineering, a division of Built-Rite Tool & Die, Inc, is a custom manufacturer of precision thermoplastic and thermoset molded parts servicing OEM’s in the aerospace, medical, defense and high-tech industries.  “This purchase is part of our continuous improvement process and brings us closer to achieving AS9100 certification”, Bovaird said.  The company is presently ISO 9001 certified.
 
“The markets we serve are very demanding from a quality standpoint and we manufacture very high tolerance precision molded products. With the new Micro-vu system we can inspect faster and more accurately,”  Bovaird said.
