RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...

The models below are a representative example. Of course we can also create custom products designed for your unique requirements, as we have for commercial and military customers for more than 20 years.

SMT Ceramic Bandpass Filter for GPS

The AM1575B510 surface-mount ceramic bandpass filter has a center frequency of 1575 MHz with a passband of 1564.4 to 1585.4 MHz, insertion loss of 1.5 dB, and rejection of 20 dB at 1540.4 MHz and 10 dB at 1640.4 MHz. Passband ripple is less than 0.2 dB, and return loss is at least 20 dB. The filter measures 4.5 X 11.75 X 7.55 mm, and handles 2 W.

This product is available on our E-store,  AMCrf.com.

2452 MHz Cavity Bandpass Filter for WiFi Hot Spots

The Wifi2452-9O cavity bandpass filter has a center frequency of 2453 MHz, 3-dB bandwidth of 22 MHz (2441 to 2463 MHz), insertion loss of less than 3 dB, and rejection of at least 60 dB at 2427 MHz and 2477 MHz. Passband ripple is less than 1.2 dB. The filter handles 50 W and has Type-N female connectors. It measures 123 x 71 x 31 mm and is fully weatherized for outdoor use.

This product is available on our E-store, AMCrf.com.

1222 MHz LC Bandpass Filter for GPS Applications

The AE1222B6764 LC bandpass filter has a center frequency of 1222 MHz, bandwidth of 40 MHz (1202 to 1242 MHz), insertion loss of less than 3 dB, return loss of at least 14 dB, ripple of less than 0.1 dB, and has pins for drop-in mounting. Rejection is at least 30 dB from DC to 1162 MHz and 1282 to 3000 MHz. The filter measures 1.25 X 4 X 0.75 in.
