RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...

734 to 740 MHz Cavity Bandpass Filter

The AB737B950 cavity bandpass filter has a center frequency of 737 MHz and a passband of 734 to 740 MHz, with passband insertion loss of less than 2 dB and return loss greater than 14 dB. Rejection is greater than 40 dB at 700 kHz from band edges, and power handling ability is 50 W CW. It operates from -40 to +75° C, uses Type-N female connectors, and measures 14.9 x 5.17 x 3.78 in.

1471 MHz Notch Filter


The AS1471N333 is a notch (bandstop) filter with a center frequency of 1471 MHz and a notch bandwidth of 4.8 MHz. It has 35 dB of rejection at the notch, low side and high side passband insertion loss of less than 1 dB, and uses SMA female connectors.

444 MHz Highpass Filter


The AE444H9777 highpass filter has a cutoff frequency of 444 MHz, passband of 445 to 450 MHz, insertion loss at the center frequency of less than 2 dB, and rejection greater than 30 dB from DC to 418 MHz. The filter uses SMA female connectors and measures 2.5 x 1.12 x 0.75 in.

704 to 716 MHz Cavity Bandpass Filter


The AB710B943 cavity bandpass filter has a center frequency of 710 MHz, passband of 704 to 716 MHz, passband insertion loss of less than 2 dB, and rejection greater than 40 dB at 700 kHz from band edges. Return loss is greater than 14 dB and power handling ability is 50 W. CW. It operates from -40 to +75° C, uses Type-N female connectors and measures 14.96 x 5.17 x 3.78 in.
