Electro-Photonics Introduces High Frequency Spiral Inductors on Quartz
Jupiter,
FL -- November 4, 2009 -- Electro-Photonics LLC is expending its products offering, and announces the
availability of thin-film spiral inductors for use in hybrid amplifiers, oscillators, and bias networks.
The inductors are available from 1nH to 22.5 nH and 1 to 7 turns. Do to the low dielectric constant of quartz (DK
= 3.8), the inductors have very low parallel capacitance and excellent performance up to 10 GHz.
In
addition to the standard values, we offer custom and built-to-print inductors. Inductors can be bonded, using
either conductive or non-conductive epoxies, and are wire bonded with 0.8 mil or 1 mil gold wire.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
