Z-Comm Introduces the ZRO0915C2-LF Extremely Low Phase Noise VCO

Z-Comm ZRO0915C2-LF VCOSAN DIEGO, October 2, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc. proudly announces the release of an RoHS compliant coaxial resonator based VCO in the UHF-band. The new model, ZRO0915C2LF which is the second VCO of an exciting new series of products in development by Z-COMM, operates from 902-928 MHz with excellent linear tuning voltage range of 0-11 Vdc. This VCO features an excellent typical phase noise of -128 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 3 MHz/V.

The ZRO0915C2LF is designed to deliver a constant typical output power of 5 dBm at 10 Vdc supply while drawing 23 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. The ZRO0915C2LF has a typical phase noise value of -100 dBc/Hz @ 1 KHz offset and -148 dBc/Hz @ 100 KHz offset. This VCO features typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -35 dBc and comes in Z-COMM’s newly developed ZMX-14-SM package, measuring 0.75 in. x 0.75 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The ZRO0915C2LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow assembly process.

ZRO0915C2LF is well suited for digital communication systems and RFID applications that require superior 2nd harmonic suppression and extremely low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at
