Z-Comm Introduces the SMV5815A-LF Features Superior 2nd Harmonic VCO

DIEGO, December 2, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled
Oscillator) model SMV5815A-LF in C-band. The SMV5815A-LF operates from 5790-5840 MHz with a tuning voltage range
of 0.5-3 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -84 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning
sensitivity of 130 MHz/V.
The SMV5815A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0 dBm at 3 Vdc
supply while drawing 19 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features excellent
typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -40 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard SUB-L package measuring 0.3
in. x 0.3 in. x 0.08 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The SMV5815A-LF
is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
SMV5815A-LF is well suited for RFID and
fixed wireless applications that require superior 2nd harmonic suppression and ultra low phase noise performance.
