Z-Communications, Inc. Press Release 10-2-2008

Z-Comm Introduces the SFS11000Z-LF X-Band Fixed Frequency Synthesizer

Z-Communications, Inc.Z-Comm SFS11000Z-LF Phase NoiseZ-Communications, Inc. is pleased to announce a RoHS compliant fixed frequency synthesizer model SFS11000Z-LF in X-band. The SFS11000Z-LF is a single frequency signal source that is pre-programmed to operate at 11000 MHz and features a self locking mechanism with lock detect. This synthesizer has a typical phase noise of -84 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset with a typical reference spur suppression of -70 dBc.

Z-Comm SFS11000Z-FLThe SFS11000Z-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0 dBm with a VCO voltage supply of 5 Vdc while drawing 90 mA (typical) and a PLL voltage of 3 Vdc while drawing 11 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -30º to 60º C. This fixed frequency synthesizer features typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s SFS-L1 package measuring 1 in. x 1 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The SFS11000Z-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

SFS11000Z-LF is well suited for broadband transmission applications that require low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at http://www.zcomm.com/webstore/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=SFS11000Z-LF.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
