Phase Noise
SAN DIEGO, July
18, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc. announces
a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator)
model CRO2318A-LF in S-band. The CRO2318A-LF operates
at 2316-2321 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5
Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -115
dBc/Hz @ 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity
of 7 MHz/V.
The CRO2318A-LF is designed to deliver
a typical output power of 2 dBm at 5V DC supply while
drawing 19 mA (typical) over the temperature range of
-40º to 85ºC. This VCO features typical 2nd harmonic
suppression of -15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s industry
standard MINI package measuring 0.50 in. x 0.50 in.
x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging
for production requirements. The CRO2318A-LF is also

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
