Introduces theCRO5100Z Features Superior 2nd Harmonic
VCO

SAN DIEGO, December 2, 2008: Z-Communications, Inc.
announces a new VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model CRO5100Z in
C-band. The CRO5100Z operates from 5090-5110 MHz with a tuning voltage
range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -104
dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 20 MHz/V.
The
CRO5100Z is designed to deliver a typical output power of 3 dBm at 5
Vdc supply while drawing 118 mA (typical, due to the internal doubler)
over the temperature range of 0º to 85º C. This VCO features superior
2nd harmonic suppression of -40 dBc (typical) and comes in Z-Comm’s
industry standard VCO-24H package measuring 0.63 in. x 0.866 in. x 0.22
in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements.
The CRO5100Z is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and
reflow.
CRO5100Z is well suited for microwave radio applications
that require superior 2nd harmonic suppression and ultra low phase noise
performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
