International launches revolutionary 13,56MHz RFID solution -NONATEC™
– incorporating the world’s smallest passive glass tag which is only
1mm dia * 6mm long.
Rodange,
Luxembourg – June 11, 2007 – Lutronic International
is proud to announce the NONATEC™ product launch. The first NONATEC™
application developed is an identification and traceability solution
for laboratories. This will be launched at the 10th FELASA Symposium
and the XIV ICLAS General Assembly & Conference.
The system
utilises the smallest implantable RFID[1] tag available in the market
(1mm dia * 6mm long), a wireless reader/writer device and a software.
Its new technology operates at the high frequency 13,56 MHz and allows
the long term identification of small animals in a very secure manner.
Remy Jarretie, Lutronic’s RFID business manager said:
“The small tag size allows the product to be implanted a few days
after birth; this will improve animal traceability and efficiency in
the research industry. In addition, the NONATEC™ tag minimises trauma
linked with the animal identification. I am really excited about this
product.”

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
