Wanted: Engineering Technician or RF Test Engineer

December 13, 2019 - Modelithics, Inc., the leading independent provider of simulation models for Radio Frequency and Microwave (RF/MW) devices, seeks an Modelithics, Inc. is looking for a Programming / IT Support person with a strong programming background with the ability to efficiently multi-task in an ever−changing environment. Primary duties are to assist in the development of our flag ship library product of electronic component software models for use in multiple computer aided engineering(CAE)simulation products using SOP's (standard operating procedures) as well as independent judgment, after suitable training on each task.

Modelithics Mission Statement - RF CafeDuties may include model development, interfacing with each of the supported simulators, packaging, building installers, testing, and documentation. Additional tasks may include: developing applications to improve the efficiency of our daily operations; support and improve existing products; adding additional features; develop an interface to additional simulators; update and maintain the database driven website; troubleshoot Windows operating systems; license the products; and customer support.

The programmer may also be asked to assist with automation of lab and engineering tasks and processes. Experience with LabView, Matlab and Python software will be a plus related to this need.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • C/C++, CSS3, HTML5, SQL, ASP.NET, Javascript or JQuery
  • Microsoft Office
  • Strong documentation abilities
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Optional (Helpful) Experience:

  • Python, Labview, VM Ware
  • Database driven Web Design with ASP.NET, SEO
  • Website form development
  • Firewalls, Windows Servers
  • Flexera or Reprise Software licensing
  • Linux RedHat or CentOS, Visual Studio
  • Understanding of basic electronicsLocation:Tampa, Florida

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
