Environetix Technologies Corporation is a technology-transfer spin-off from the University of Maine (UMaine) Laboratory for Surface Science and Technology (LASST). A dynamic research and development organization, Environetix is making rapid and exciting progress in the field of passive, wireless sensor systems for harsh environments. For instance, Environetix’s sensors perform reliably up to 1000 degrees Celsius, groundbreaking innovation in the field of surface acoustic wave sensor technology. With federal contracts in hand, Environetix seeks to commercialize applications for its sensor systems and associated wireless communication technologies in both static and dynamic harsh environments. With facilities use agreements in place, Environetix performs its laboratory-based work at RF Engineering/Technician Needed by Environetix Technologies - RF Cafeboth UMaine and in its independent laboratory at the Target Technology Center in Orono (targetincubator.umaine.edu). Located less than an hour from Acadia National Park and other recreational areas, Orono offers a wonderful quality of life in a beautiful mid-Maine college town. 

We have current openings for both RF engineers and technicians who will participate in a team effort to develop and manufacture wireless microwave sensors for custom high- temperature harsh environment applications. Candidates must have a BS (or higher) degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, as well as experience with RF microwave and wireless tools and techniques. Apply today and come grow with our team!

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
