Project Manager

We currently seek an experienced Project Manager. This individual will champion the product development process in predictable project execution to drive world-class product development time, product cost, and quality.

The individual we seek has solid experience leading cross-functional teams through the full product development lifecycle. RF engineering experience with an MBA and interest in the business side of development would be welcome!

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

•Facilitates the definition of the program schedule.
•Executes and manages the schedule and risk mitigation elements of the project.
•Works with the project team to enable the success of the project and sub-projects within the product timeline.
•Emphasis on good stewardship of team resources.
•Defines, communicates and closes the gap between customer expectations and actual schedule.
•Communicates the project status to the business unit, the team, the strategic marketing organization and the customer.

•Elevates within RFMD situations where this gap cannot be closed and communicate this situation to the customer as required.
•Fosters team learning within the project group. (e.g. Product Management Body of Knowledge PMBOK).
•Maintains customer end-focus.

The qualified candidate would have:
•BS degree required in Engineering field or equivalent course of study in an accredited college or university
•At least 2 years of direct experience in project management in high-tech companies overseeing the product development process for manufactured goods
•PMP certification and MBA preferred

Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
