Hallicrafters Ad, February 1970 Popular Electronics

Hallicrafters was founded in Chicago in 1932 by William J. Halligan. He formed the company name based on a combination of Halli(gan) and (hand)crafters - clever, non? Since Hallicrafters made radio gear for commercial, amateur radio, and military application, their advertisements appeared in most of the major electronics magazines of the time - QST, Popular Electronics, Radio & Television News, etc. It is interesting to see how product physical appearances changes over the years as user preference, materials, and technologies evolve ... http://www.rfcafe.com/references/popular-electronics/hallicrafters-ad-popular-electronics-february-1970.htm
