  • Install, align, and troubleshoot commercial high-speed cable systems

Field Service Representative/GS-12 Position

  • Oversaw initial setup of multiple Field Operational Bases, (FOB), for the installation and de-installation, of Marine equipment

  • Deployed to Iraq in support of Marine communications systems

  • Key individual in the reduction of military casualties caused by the Remote Controlled Improvised Explosive Device (RCIED) threat

  • Performed installation and maintenance of electronic counter measure (ECM) systems on military vehicles

  • Performed troubleshooting procedures using advanced system diagnostics equipment, such as, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers and other various product specific bench testing devices, to isolate system faults and initiate repair for ECM systems

  • Supervised the improvement of existing Marine communications systems, utilizing a small task force assigned

  • Conducted formal classroom training for military and civilian personnel including formal presentation and hands-on training

  • Compiled technical data used to track ECM equipment and document repairs

  • Trained proficiently in electrical and RF Theory, as well as, Explosive Ordinance (EO) procedures

  • SECRET security clearance maintained

  • Supervised, installed, operated and performed unit level maintenance on Multi-channel Line-of-site Communications Systems, antennas and associated equipment, Troposphere Scatter Communications Systems, Communications Security (COMSEC) devices and associated equipment

  • Analyzed BIT/BITE diagnostics to isolate faults to the Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)

  • Installed/operated Satellite Communications (SMART T quick set up sat. comm. for frequent jumps)

  • Data Processing of Equipment Repair and Radiotelephone Communications (UHF, VHF & SHF radio operations and maintenance [RT-1539, SINGCARS radio])

  • Installed/maintained fiber optics cables (doesn’t include splicing and repair)

  • Supervised soldiers and obtained multiple leadership positions working up to 72 straight hour shifts

  • Promoted from Private E-1 to Specialist E-4

  • Military and tactical training

  • SECRET security clearance obtained
