January 2004 until Dec 2006

Ecole Polytechnique de MontrealMontreal
Research Subject

§      Modeling and fabrication of an integrated inductor on silicon to produce an efficient inductive power transfer required to supply implantable devices such as visual implant.

  1. Modeling and optimization of the integrated inductor were done using Matlab.
  2. Layout and extraction were done using Momentum ADS Electro-Magnetic simulations.
  3. ADS schematic is used to compare the Matlab model and Electro-magnetic simulation results.

November to December 2004

Ecole Polytechnique de MontrealMontreal
Project

§      Design of a wide band amplifier using a BJT.

  1. Design and simulations of the wide band amplifier (stability, gain circles and matching network) using ADS schematics.
  2. Layout using momentum (Agilent design systems).

September to December 2003

Ecole Polytechnique de MontrealMontreal

Project

§      Design of an ultrasound transmitter using Dalsa 0.8μm high voltage technology.

  1. Design and simulations of a DC-DC converter to increase voltage from 9V to 200V, a level-up shifter and piezoelectric transducer using Cadence.
  2. Layout and extraction of the ultrasound transmitter in Dalsa 0.8μm high voltage technology.
