Responsible for all of the design, development and production of LNR's standard FET LNA product line and special projects, which includes cooled and uncooled amplifier systems ranging from L-Band to Q-Band. Also had responsibility for complete turnkey installations and earth station upgrades which included LNA's, HPA's, antennas, up/down converters, line drivers, modems, etc,.
Directly supervised teams of about 8 to 10 engineers and technicians.
Responsible for profit/loss of department and product line.
Provided technical inputs for proposals and interfaced with marketing and directly with customers. Among the major customers were TRW, Hughes, GTE, Raytheon, AT&T, NOAA.

Responsibilities included development of low noise wideband FET amplifiers used on receivers for NASA's 30/20 ACTS program and high reliability bipolar transistors used on TDRSS satellites.
