M.Tech Project

                 Title: RFID for Automobile Application     (Jun`07 – May`08)

RFID tags are among the emerging electronic products in recent times. RFID are primarily used for tracking goods, authentication and communication. The project on RFID design for automobile is targeted for bridge toll collection, which will enable registration, identification and automatic clearing of toll amount for the vehicle in the expressways, thus reducing traffic congestion and easy toll payment.

The work involves design, modeling and analysis of the tag antenna for the given specifications using 3D Microwave CAD tools (HFSS). Also Optimization of the antenna with windshield (to emulate practical environment) and testing of the RFID system on real environment has to be done.

Other Projects

 

Title: Graphic Equalizer on FPGA

Project done under Prof. M. Balakrishnan, CSE, IIT Delhi. The Equalizer was developed  using VHDL in Xilinx-ISE and implemented on Vertex II FPGA board. The main part of this project was to implement FFT on FPGA

 

Title: Guitar Tuner on DSK

Course Project done under Dr. Arun Kumar, CARE, IIT Delhi. The Project involved interfacing of the Guitar for  signal acquisition and application of algorithm to arrive at the conclusion. Code Composer Studio tools were used during Code development which was implemented on TMS320VC5510 DSK.

 

Title: Design and Fabrication of Micro-strip Antenna at 2.4GHz

Antenna developed under Prof. B.S. Panwar. The design, simulation and optimization was carried out in EM simulation tool HFSS. Testing was done using VNA and anechoic chamber.

 

 Title: Multi Channel Multi User Set Top Box

A SET-TOP BOX prototype was designed in Simulink which could be used by more than one user at the same time, all accessing different channels.

 

Training

MMIC Design and layout training in ADS (Advance Design System), GATEC Hyderabad

The objective of the training was to learn MMIC Design flow.  Training gave a good familiarization of GATEC foundry process and GATEC Library for MMIC design. During training, Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) was implemented on MMIC Technology using Advance Design System (ADS).
