Description:
Mav6 is seeking an RF Engineer to support the Technical Analysis Group (TAG). The TAG uses modeling and simulation tools to conduct analyses of technologies developed to combat improvised explosive devices (IED). The RF Engineer will be a subject matter expert for the TAG in the field of Radio Frequency Engineering and the various communications, *censored*, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems based on RF technology. The position requires knowledge of the analytical tools currently available to model and simulate RF propagation. The RF Engineer is expected to have strong analytical and research abilities and be able to execute project plans that provide solutions to problems assigned to the TAG. The RF Engineer will provide expert advice, assistance, and guidance to the TAG and to clients.
Essential Position Functions:
Provide engineering and technical expertise on matters pertaining to the capabilities of RF systems
Use modeling and simulation (M&S) tools to conduct performance, interoperability, and compatibility analyses of military RF systems in operational environments
Use a variety of programming languages, operating systems, computing platforms, and analytical tools to model and simulate physical phenomena
Identify technical issues arising from the operation of RF systems in a combat theater of operations
Generate analysis results and recommendations that inform decision making, test planning, and technology implementation
Draft reports that communicate complex ideas in terms easily understood by non-technical personnel
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision
Travel up to 20%
Qualifications:
Minimum SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance
Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience in a related field
Extensive knowledge and experience in the field of RF propagation, effects, systems, and analytical tools
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with programming languages such as C++, C, Fortran, Matlab, Simulink, etc
Desired Qualifications:
TS/SCI security clearance
Masters degree and 10 years experience in related field
Experience with Department of Defense counter improvised explosive device technologies
Knowledge of military communications, *censored*, and ISR systems
Experience leading small, highly-specialized teams
