These positions will perform testing of highly complex radio frequency (RF) and microwave hardware, to exact specifications, using RF and electronics test equipment following established test procedures. Depending of position level, duties may include:
Conducting in-process and final electronic verification testing of electronic components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies using RF and electronics test equipment (e.g. power meter, network/scalar analyzer, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and function generator)
Tuning and aligning circuitry into specification compliance by adjusting and modifying circuit elements
Calibrating test stations
Identifying potential production issues, including manufacturing defects, troubleshooting and drafting recommendations
Drafting Engineering Changes Orders (ECO’s) and rework instructions
Championing parts from engineering to production
Optimizing new single function engineering designs as well as upgrading and optimizing existing designs
Prototyping new designs under Engineering direction
Assisting in the development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programs
Performing mechanical assembly of intricate RF and microwave components
Qualified candidates will possess:
Knowledge and skills typically associated with an Associates Degree in Electronics or military equivalent
Related RF/Microwave experience is strongly preferred, required for higher level positions
Entry level to advanced experience with design development, production, testing, inspection, and servicing
Entry level to advanced knowledge of electronic skills, including S-parameters and RF theory
Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential production issues, including manufacturing defects, conduct failure analyses and provide recommendations for corrective actions
Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and knowledge of a drawing program such as Fastlook or Anzio
Ability to obtain & maintain secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
This position will tune and test radio frequency (RF) and complex microwave hardware to exact specifications using RF and electronic test equipment following established test procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Prototyping new designs under an Engineer's direction, organize data, and report results
Tune complex electronic components, assemblies and sub-assemblies
Set-up and calibrate test stations
Ability to operate various microwave test equipment such as VNA's, scalar Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters, Noise Figure Meter, Multimeters, and Oscilloscopes
Assoicates degree in electronics or equivalent in military/industry experience, and 8+ years relevant electronics experience
Ability to work under a microscope for up to 8+ hours per day and use basic hand tools
Ability to take direction from an engineer and work independent with minimal supervision
Ability to make measurements such as Noise Figure, Power, P1dB, Harmonics, Spurious, Current, S-Parameters, 3rd Order Intercept
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work overtime as the situation requires
The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires US Citizenship
REMEC Defense & Space (RDS) is growing rapidly and requires an experienced leader who can deliver outstanding results for Customers, Employees and Stakeholders. This position will be a Technical Lead for the digital engineers and be responsible for design architecture, proposal writing, assisting with budget cost and scheduling, mentoring, and holding design reviews for multiple programs. Will apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as RF and Digital applications.
Design digital hardware in a programmable integrated environment using Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL) for programmable circuits
Design Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) which consist of Analog and/or Digital circuitry
Develop architecture of a field programmable gate array (FPGA) design
Develop system level architectures for subsystem designs
Define architectures
Integrate a PWB and FPGA design with automated test equipment (ATE)
Perform analysis of digital logical circuits
Design and test digital logical circuits
Document digital logical circuits
Function as lead engineer on designs with high digital content
Evaluate results of projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives. Prepares and presents reports outlining the outcome of technical projects and makes recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results
Develop System Level Architectures for subsystem designs
Interface with customers and deliver presentations for Preliminary and Customer Reviews
Results oriented candidate will have BS/BA in Engineering or related with 10 years experience or equivalent experience. MSEE preferred
Demonstrated leadership skills including ability to motivate others and build strong teams

This position will design, prototype, and provide sustaining engineering support for custom integrated microwave assemblies and subsystems covering frequency ranges of up to 40GHz, and components such as filters, amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, attenuators, and switches. During the development phase, serves as the project engineer responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project to meet technical, schedule, and cost goals.
Responsibilities include:
Generate technical proposals and cost estimates in support of new business development
Present electrical design approach for customer design reviews
Organize, schedule, and manage a full range of complex development projects, including technical requirements, schedule, and cost estimates
Coordinate design efforts for electrical circuits, components, and subsystems including computer/mathematical modeling, part/material/process selection and mechanical layout and packaging
Coordinate production engineering support function, including fixture, material, design, process problem evaluation and solution
Coordinate with mechanical engineers, designers, and drafters to produce mechanical design and drawing packages
Direct technicians on test, tune, debug, and optimization tasks for prototype circuits and components to meet specification and manufacturing producibility requirements
Perform specification analysis and component design (including creation of a drawing package) using REMEC standard design practices and produce prototype hardware consistent with REMEC manufacturing producibility requirements
Provide mentorship to junior engineers
Qualified candidates will possess:
BS in Electrical Engineering with the knowledge typically gained through 7+ years related RF/microwave engineering component/subsystem design experience
Superior technical knowledge in electrical engineering discipline, allowing full range of technical analysis and design
Strong working knowledge of RF design software (MWO, ADS, HFSS), AutoCAD and MS Office Applications
Extensive hands-on experience with RF test equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot RF circuitry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which will require US Citizenship
This position will support the manufacturing process through calibration of test and measurement equipment, to include DC to RF measurement, physical dimensional equipment. Work will typically be performed on moderate to complex processes and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Calibrate more advanced electronic test and measurement equipment ranging from radio frequency (RF) to physical mechanical equipment according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings and other requirements.
Troubleshoot & repair non-functioning test and measurement equipment; in addition to all production systems on the manufacturing floor.
Conduct technical support service searches and qualifications of outside vendors, ensuring selected vendors meet REMEC quality requirements.
Identify need for and create calibration and preventive maintenance procedures.
Support Lean initiatives by attending training where applicable, participating in Lean activities (5S, Kaizen), making suggestions for improvements and sustaining improvements implemented.
Qualified candidates will possess:
Associates Degree in Electronics or equivalent military training and 6 - 8 years of related experience with electronic test and measurement calibration and/or repair; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Intermediate math skills such as upper division algebra and basic statistics in order to determine values for electronic circuitry, calculate and understand quality controls using statistical measurements.
Knowledge and understanding of advanced electronics theories.
Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
