NI AWR Software Product Portfolio Adds AntSyn, Antenna Synthesis and Optimization Technology - RF CafeDAVOS, Switzerland – EuCAP 2016 – Apr. 11, 2016 – AntSyn™ antenna synthesis and optimization technology has been added to the NI AWR software product portfolio. AntSyn is a new cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) antenna design, synthesis, and optimization solution that enables designers to input their antenna engineering requirements and produce antenna designs as outputs.

Designed to be used by both experts and those who are relatively new to antenna design, AntSyn addresses the growing need for rapid development of embedded miniaturized, high-performance antennas called for by the Internet of Things (IoT) and other emerging wireless applications. It utilizes a proprietary evolutionary algorithm to perform smart optimizations and features an easy-to-use, templated approach. The software supports dozens of antenna types ranging from spirals to patch antennas to Yagi and Vivaldi styles, including many types that are only available using computer-based optimization. The cloud-based execution enables faster and more efficient design space exploration.

AntSyn can be seen at the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) 2016, being held in Davos, Switzerland from April 11-14 within NI booth #29.
