Berkeley Nucleonics Releases Customizable RF / Microwave Signal Generators - RF CafeBerkeley Nucleonics (BNC), an RF/Microwave instrumentation manufacturer, releases a user-customize-able OEM signal generator platform for RF / Microwave systems requiring brand singularity or system integration. This OEM version platform leverages proven designs at 3 GHz, 6 GHz, 12 GHz, 20 GHz, and 26.5 GHz frequencies. The OEM product gives customization options to system integrators while maintaining the flagship performance that the company's standard commercial customers demand. Industry leading specifications in low phase noise, fast switching speeds, phase coherence, and robust modulation features ensure a broad range of applications can be addressed. With an OEM partner focus, BNC now provides microwave source customization including re-branding and color schemes, board level packages, specification limiting or enhancements, and embedded designs.

BNC's microwave signal sources are provided with an intuitive and easy to use GUI, as well as LabVIEW, C++, and MatLab drivers, and are fully SCPI compliant via USB, LAN, or GPIB offering true programming versatility. "We are excited to bring high performance in RF signal generation to the broader user market, giving budget constrained projects an option in the $5-$17K range," commented Michael Chapman, RF Application Engineer.

BNC offers several support options including long term maintenance and calibration contracts, on-site training and installation support and around-the-clock application help. Demo equipment is usually available within a couple days and feature requests from the marketplace are addressed quickly. Customers can access more information on microwave signal source OEM solutions by visiting BNC's website and request an evaluation proposal on their project at: (enter site address here for OEM landing page)

Kirt Blattenberger,

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The Internet was still largely an unknown entity at the time and not much was available in the form of WYSIWYG ...
