Easton, PA (April 13, 2015) — Orbel Corporation is being honored with a Small Business ImPAct Award as part of the third annual Governor’s ImPAct Awards, recognizing businesses that create jobs and generate an economic impact within the state.
The Small Business ImPAct Award is given to a small business (100 or less employees) that is an innovator within its industry, demonstrated revenue/profit growth, increased its workforce, and is committed to the growth and development of its employees and community. Orbel’s EMI/RFI shielding technology has helped to usher in automation to nearly all industries, promoted the viability of manufacturing within the Lehigh Valley, and continuously pushed the envelope in the EMI/RFI marketplace.
"We are thrilled to be honored with the recognition that our technologies are contributing to Pennsylvania through job creation and job retention," said Ken Marino, Orbel President. "Orbel is very proud of creating a 'built to last' culture that has helped contribute to the economic viability of the Lehigh Valley."
Orbel was nominated for this award by the Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP) network, a statewide network that works to regionalize local economic development services to businesses and entrepreneurs.
The Governor’s ImPAct Awards recognizes companies throughout the state in five categories: Community Impact, Entrepreneurial Impact, Export Impact, Jobs That Pay, and Small Business Impact. Awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, PA on May 21, 2015.
