RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The Internet was still largely an unknown entity at the time and not much was available in the form of WYSIWYG ...

April 29, 2015 (Norwood, Mass.) - Horizon House Publications and Microwave Journal China are pleased to announce that 2625 total attendees visited EDI CON China 2015 in Beijing, April 14-16, at the China National Convention Center (CNCC), significantly exceeding the previous two years attendance numbers. This included 1214 delegates attending the conference and exhibition. The plenary session drew close to 300 attendees with about 350 attending the Keysight sponsored reception dinner. The exhibition contained close to 100 companies occupying 1300 square meters in floor space. EDI CON China has grown each year since its start in 2013 establishing itself as the leading RF/microwave, high-speed digital and EMC/EMI conference and exhibition in China.
Attendees and sponsors complimented the quality of the conference with an average session size of about 50 attendees that participated in 90 paper sessions, 33 workshops and 2 panels. The newly added 5G Forum kicked off with experts from China Mobile and Ericsson presenting their vision and progress in the area of 5G technologies followed by a panel session taking questions from the audience. More than 150 people attended the panel session that was followed by 8 papers sessions and 2 workshops to complete the full day forum.
In an interview with Microwave Journal at EDI CON China 2015, Keysight’s strategic marketing manager for China, Elizabeth Ruetsch, commented that this year was a step function better than previous years with the quality of the technical presentations and questions from the attendees. She further commented that EDI CON China is a unique event where the entire wireless supply chain is represented from the carriers like China Mobile and China Unicom to the hardware providers like ZTE and Ericsson to the device/component suppliers like Qorvo and Freescale and NXP. Many distributors also participated in the exhibition including Richardson RFPD, Transemic, Sanetronic and Mitron.
EDI CON China is scheduled to take place again at the CNCC on April 19-21 in 2016 with Keysight as the host sponsor. More information can be found at http://www.ediconchina.com/.
