SKY16601-555LF PIN Diode Limiter Block Diagram - RF CafeSkyworks Solutions, Inc. unveils an integrated, single-stage, low-cost PIN diode limiter module to address the growing need for full receiver low-noise amplifier protection in microwave applications. The new limiter is a low threshold/insertion loss/distortion module in a surface-mount package meant for use as a passive receiver protector in wireless or other RF systems for frequencies up to 6 GHz. The module is comprised of a PIN limiter diode, an RF choke inductor, and two DC blocking caps at the RF ports in a two-lead MLP package. The SKY16601-555LF is ideal for military communication transceivers, VSAT, S-band radar, jammers, GPS, test instruments, and automotive markets. It is also applicable for broad market wireless systems including cellular infrastructure base station, WLAN, repeaters, and wireless backhaul OEMs.
