RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while typing up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...

MECA Electronics logo

February 15 Press Release

-- Designed For In-Building DAS Applications, Offers Split Ratios
   of 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or 10:1 from 698 - 2700 MHz.

MECA Electronics Expands Line of Unequal Power Splitters - RF CafeThe line consists of models offering a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10:1 signal-split ratio, over 698-2700 MHz (Cellular, PCS, AWS, and BRS/EBS frequencies) and feature low PIM ratings – (better than -150 dBc.), with ultra-low VSWR and minimal coupling variation over the entire frequency band. They easily handle high power levels of 300 W (CW) and have an operational temperature range of -55°C to +85°C. As with all MECA products, they are MADE IN THE USA and are offered with a standard 36 month warranty.

Three new models have been added to the Unequal Power Splitters line:
  • U2N-03-1.700V:  0.698-2.700 GHz, 300 W, Split Ratio of 3.0 ±0.6 dB, PIMs of <-150dBc with 2x20 W tones
  • U2N-05-1.700V:  0.698-2.700 GHz, 300 W, Split Ratio of 4.78 ±0.6 dB, PIMs of <-150dBc with 2x20 W tones
  • U2N-08-1.700V:  0.698-2.700 GHz, 300 W, Split Ratio of 7.0 ±1.0 dB, PIMs of <-150dBc with 2x20 W tones
