AWR Continues Its Popular Graduate Gift Initiative for a Fourth
-- Program Equips Students with Real-World Design Software
and Experience to Accelerate Their Engineering Careers
ECEDHA ANNUAL CONFERENCE, Orlando, Fla. – March 25, 2013 –
the innovation leader in high-frequency EDA software, announces that
it will continue to offer its popular
Initiative to graduating engineering students worldwide for a record
fourth consecutive year.
The AWR Graduate Gift Initiative program
provides qualified electrical engineering graduates with free and fully
functional one-year licenses of AWR software, inclusive of
Microwave Office® and Visual
System Simulator™ software suites as well as
3D planar EM simulation software. This gift, while restricted to the
graduate's personal use (node locked versus floating license), is not
restricted to educational use but rather open for commercial use at
the graduate's current/future employer. This enables students who used
AWR software within their classroom environment to take their familiar
tools with them to their new jobs, giving them a jumpstart on their
career and saving significant learning curve time.
ability of graduating electrical engineering students to bring with
them expertise in AWR’s powerful design tools is a resume asset for
employers, who have made it clear that real-world experience is desirable
in this extremely competitive industry where design cycles define success,"
said Sherry Hess, vice president of marketing at AWR. "The feedback
from global employers and international universities since we began
the program in the U.S. in 2010 has been extremely positive and has
encouraged us to continue this and other programs to enhance the design
tool learning experience for engineering students worldwide."
Gift Initiative is available to all qualified Class of 2013 students
graduating with BS, MS, or PhD electrical engineering degrees from universities,
colleges, and accredited learning institutions within AWR's
University Program. The gifting of software includes the latest
