HAUPPAUGE, NY – July 12, 2012 – Narda Microwave-East, an L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) company, today introduced the Model 769A family of bidirectional coaxial fixed attenuators that are designed for general purpose and test and measurement applications, operate from DC to 6 GHz, and are available with attenuation values of 3, 6, 10, 20, and 30 dB.

All models in the 769A Series handle a maximum input power of 150 W average and 3 kW peak, have a maximum VSWR of 1.35:1 or less, weigh 3.3 lb. (1.5kg), and have Type-N female connectors.  Models with 3, 6, and 10 dB of attenuation have maximum attenuation deviation of +/-0.4 dB to 2 GHz, and +/-0.75 dB to 6 GHz. The 20 and 30 dB models have maximum attenuation deviation of +/-0.5 dB to 2 GHz, and +/-1 dB to 6 GHz.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
