Hittite's New Three Watt Power Amplifier is Ideal
for VSAT and Microwave Radio-- PA with Integrated Power Detector Covers 12 - 16 GHz
Chelmsford, MA, 09/02/2011 – Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, announces the release of a new SMT Packaged, 3 Watt GaAs pHEMT MMIC Power Amplifier which is ideal for VSAT, microwave radio, military, and test & measurement equipment applications from 12 to 16 GHz.
 The HMC995LP5GE is a four stage GaAs pHEMT MMIC 3 Watt Power Amplifier with an integrated temperature compensated on-chip power detector which operates between 12 and 16 GHz. The HMC995LP5GE provides 27 dB of gain, +35.5 dBm of saturated output power, and 24 % PAE (power added efficiency) while operating from a +7V supply. The HMC995LP5GE exhibits excellent linearity and is optimized for high capacity digital microwave radio. This powerful amplifier is also ideal for 13.75 to 14.5 GHz Ku-and VSAT transmitters and SATCOM applications. The HMC995LP5GE amplifier I/Os are internally matched to 50 Ohms the amplifier requires no external matching components, making it ideal for use as a driver or as the final power stage in a microwave transmitter chain
 The HMC995LP5GE is packaged in a leadless QFN 5 x 5 mm surface mount package which is compatible with high volume assembly equipment and is a much smaller alternative to bolt down power amplifier solutions. The HMC995LP5GE complements Hittite’s unmatched selection of SMT active and passive components for microwave and millimeterwave radio applications.
