AWR Corporation, the innovation leader in high frequency EDA, has awarded the top three winning teams of the 2011 International Microwave Symposium High Efficiency Power Amplifier Student Design Contest with fully-functional, one-year, personal-use licenses for its popular Microwave Office® and Visual System Simulator™ (VSS) software suites – inclusive of AXIEM™ 3D planar EM software.

The IMS Student Design Contest challenges students to apply design techniques learned in the classroom to create a novel product. AWR views the IMS Student Design Contest awards as an opportunity to provide students with hands-on software experience that professors and future employers view as mandatory in order to excel in microwave engineering.
