AWR Asia Design Forum
AWR Design Forum - Asia

Antti Lautanen, Marketing Manager, AWRLast week we announced the dates and the cities for our upcoming Asia Pacific 2011 AWR Design Forum. This year we are expanding the event and are reaching out to the larger community of microwave and RF designers in the region as well as current AWR customers.

The AWR Design Forum is an open event at which designers of microwave and RF circuit and systems can network, share experiences and information related to high-frequency design. There is also opportunity to learn more about AWR products and technologies as well as discuss general industry concerns and future trends.

This one day event showcases customer and partner presentations as well as AWR experts sharing their knowledge on related topics. Look for a date/location near you as well as consider the current “call for papers.”

Looking forward to seeing you at the AWR Design Forum!

Antti Lautanen, Marketing Manager, AWR

Locations & Dates:

Seoul, Korea - July 15
Taipei, Taiwan - July 19
Tokyo, Japan - July 22

Call for Papers:

The Call for Papers is now open and detailed information can be found at:http://www.awrdesignforum.com/call-for-papers.html

Application Note: Electrical-Thermal Simulation of High-Power MMIC Amplifier

AWR is now an exclusive and global reseller for SYMMIC, a thermal simulator from CapeSym that’s optimized for monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) design. SYMMIC is a template-based program that’s been integrated with Microwave Office via a script-based flow, requiring minimal user intervention.

PCB Design Flow Video Tutorial — From Component Modeling To Final Verification

Most high-speed PCBs require a combination of steps and analyses be performed prior to manufacturing so as to ensure first-pass success. These often include system simulation of specifications, such as ACPR, EVM, or BER, layout verification as well as circuit simulation of component models.

In this new AWR.TV video series, Dr. Mike Heimlich shows you how AWR’s united design flow of Visual System Simulator™ (VSS) and Microwave Office software can seamlessly take a designer from the first steps of component modeling all the way through to final manufacturing verification.

EM Tricks and Tips for Designer Workshop

Overview:

This one day FREE course explains how to effectively use your EM simulator. The examples in the course use AWR's 3D planar EM simulator, AXIEM®, but many of the concepts are applicable to most commercial, planar EM simulator.

Topics covered include port types, grounding, modeling, simulation options and meshing criteria as these are the more common issues designers face when simulating realistic circuit topologies using an EM tool.

Locations & Dates:

- Helsinki, FI - May 3
- Stokholm, SE - May 5
- London, UK - May 12
