Mimix Asia Changes Name to M/A-COM Tech Asia

Company Continues Focus on New Product Development for Microwave and Millimeter-wave Applications; Identifies Leadership Team

Hsinchu, Taiwan, September 10, 2010 - As part of the recent merger that added Mimix Broadband, Inc. and its subsidiaries to the M/A-COM Tech family of companies, Mimix Asia has changed its operating name to M/A-COM Tech Asia. M/A-COM Tech Asia is focused on the design and manufacture of innovative products aimed at addressing the microwave and millimeter-wave applications requirements of its customers across the globe. Located in Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park, the M/A-COM Tech Asia facility is ISO 9001-registered and includes a Class 10,000 clean room for die picking and visual inspection and 8,000 square feet of production floor space. M/A-COM Tech Asia also has an ISO 9001-registered design center in Belfast, Northern Ireland for product development and qualification with comprehensive assembly and test facilities for designing industry-leading devices.
"M/A-COM Tech Asia offers high power and highly integrated devices with superior performance and efficiency," stated Robert Dennehy, who has been named as Managing Director, M/A-COM Tech Asia. "As a member of the M/A-COM Tech family of companies, we can provide complete block diagram solutions that are unmatched by our competitors, and our unique S- and X-band core chips, like the XZ1001-BD and XZ1002-BD respectively, provide a high degree of functionality that greatly simplify the design task for transmit and receive modules."
Mr. Dennehy began his career with M/A-COM Technology Solutions in 1993, was quickly promoted to operational management positions and ultimately transitioned to product management. Throughout his career, Mr. Dennehy has led operations and development teams addressing multiple product lines, ranging from circulators and isolators, switches, VCOs and synthesizers to various signal processing components and passives modules.
Previously with the company and maintaining their roles are Senior Director Peter J. Hales, Technical Director Dr. Alexandre Bessemoulin, Applications Engineering Manager Ken Golden, and General Manager Min Hong Sir.
M/A-COM Tech Asia will showcase the company and its products at the European Microwave Week (EuMW) exhibition to be held in Paris, France from September 28-30 at Stand #91. More information on the company can also be found on its website at www.macomtechasia.com.
M/A-COM Tech Asia designs and develops monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) for microwave and millimeter-wave applications.
