Z-Comm Introduces CLV0850A-LF UHF-Band VCO

Z-Communications, Inc.

San Diego, CA, July 28, 2010 --

CLV0850A-LF UHF-Band VCO phase noiseZ-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model CLV0850A-LF in UHF band. The CLV0850A-LF operates at 850-851 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-3.3 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -112 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 31 MHz/V.

Z-Comm Introduces CLV0850A-LF UHF-Band VCOThe CLV0850A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 0 dBm at 3.3 Vdc supply while drawing 18 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard MINI-14S package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CLV0850A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

CLV0850A-LF is well suited for satellite communication and fixed wireless applications that require ultra low phase noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The Internet was still largely an unknown entity at the time and not much was available in the form of WYSIWYG ...
