Z-Communications' CLV1020A-LF, L-Band VCO Features Low Phase Noise

Z-Communications, Inc.

San Diego, CA, November 3, 2010 --

Z-Comm CLV1020A-LF phase noiseZ-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model CLV1020A-LF in L-band. The CLV1020A-LF operates at 960-1080 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -106 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 40 MHz/V.

Z-Comm CLV1020A-LF packageThe CLV1020A-LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 2 dBm at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 20 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of -15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm's standard MINI-14S package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CLV1020A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling 2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got Mail" when a new message arrived...
