Hittite's Two New GaAs MMIC SP4T Switches to 30 GHz!
New Multi-Throw Switches are Ideal for Microwave Radio, SATCOM and Test Applications!
Chelmsford, MA, 11/29/10 – Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based
solutions for communication & military markets, announces the release of two new SMT packaged GaAs pHEMT MMIC SP4T
(Single Pole, Four Throw) Switches which are ideal for industrial sensors, test and measurement, microwave radio,
military EW and space applications up to 30 GHz.
The
HMC641LP4E is a MMIC SP4T Switch which is rated for operation from DC to 20 GHz. This wideband, non-reflective
switch exhibits 2.3 dB insertion loss and 42 dB isolation at midband, and features an on-chip binary decoder which
requires only two 0 / -5 V control lines. High P1dB and input IP3 performance of +22 dBm and +38 dBm respectively,
make the
HMC641LP4E ideal for applications requiring wide bandwidth and high linearity. The
HMC641LP4E SP4T is housed in a plastic RoHS compliant 4 x 4 mm SMT package and is compatible with high volume
surface mount manufacturing techniques.
The
HMC944LC4 is a MMIC SP4T Switch which is rated for operation from 23 to 30 GHz. This compact Ka-band switch
exhibits 2.8 dB insertion loss and 35 dB isolation, and features fast switching speed of only 53 ns. The
HMC944LC4 is controlled with 0 / -3 V logic and consumes much less DC current than a PIN diode based solution.
The
HMC944LC4 SP4T Switch is housed in a robust 4 x 4 mm ceramic SMT package, requires no external matching
components and is compatible with high volume surface mount manufacturing techniques.
The
HMC641LP4E and the
HMC944LC4 MMIC SP4T switches complement Hittite’s broad line of GaAs MMIC switch products which are available
in die, SMT and connectorized module formats with operating frequencies from DC to 86 GHz.
