Z-Comm Introduces the ZRO0837H1LF Features Ultra Low Phase Noise VCO
 San
Diego, CA, June 23, 2009 -- Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled
Oscillator) model
ZRO0837H1LF in UHF-band. The
ZRO0837H1LF operates at 830-845 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO features a typical
phase noise of -120 dBc/Hz @ 10 KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 7 MHz/V.
The
ZRO0837H1LF is designed to deliver a typical output power of 1.3 dBm at 5.5 Vdc supply while drawing 15 mA
(typical) over the temperature range of -40º to 85º C. This VCO features typical second harmonic suppression of
-15 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s standard MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available
in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The
ZRO0837H1LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
ZRO0837H1LF is well suited for digital radio and satellite modem applications that require ultra low phase
noise performance. Additional specifications for this product can be found on-line at

RF Cafe began life in 1996 as "RF Tools" in an AOL screen name web space totaling
2 MB. Its primary purpose was to provide me with ready access to commonly needed
formulas and reference material while performing my work as an RF system and circuit
design engineer. The World Wide Web (Internet) was largely an unknown entity at
the time and bandwidth was a scarce commodity. Dial-up modems blazed along at 14.4 kbps
while tying up your telephone line, and a nice lady's voice announced "You've Got
Mail" when a new message arrived...
